Watch this interesting video diary about Claire Danes’ experience using LATISSE.

Hypotrichosis is the problem of inadequate or not enough lashes. LATISSE® is the main brand name for bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03%, and is the most recognized product that is proven to actually grow eyelashes longer, fuller and darker. Moreover, it is the only FDA-approved prescription product that causes eyelashes to grow.

So how does it work?

Bimatoprost ophthalmic is used to treat glaucoma (a condition in which increased pressure in the eye can lead to gradual loss of vision) and ocular hypertension (a condition which causes increased pressure in the eye). “It lowers pressure in the eye by increasing the flow of natural eye fluids out of the eye”, according to the National Institute of Health, US National Library of Medicine.

However, a much-appreciated side effect of this medicine was found to be longer, thicker, darker lashes in the patients! There are some minor side effects to be aware of – check out this video, Latisse Possible Side Effects. It’s from the drug company itself, but it does answer many of the questions you may have for this product.
